Finally I found this on the stands today and while I haven’t read the whole issue in great detail, I did skim the article about the prequel generation. Aeryn from Moons of Iego and Candy Wilder are quoted in it, besides little old me. The thing that’s kind of funny is that most of the people mentioned in it were already fans when TPM came out, in most cases for several years. I did field a lot of you to the article’s writer, including lots of you who were introduced to Star Wars through the prequel trilogy. The piece is rather short and ends abruptly; I think the topic merits much more discussion than what appeared. The piece does say at the end “next issue the Force of the Internet” and the mockup cover for #157 (which includes a 10th anniversary tribute to ROTS) does mention the prequel generation. I’m hoping that means there will be a second part in the next issue.
Paul McDonald’s “The Star Wars Heresies” gets a shout out in another article, this one about Star Wars in the classroom.
What did you guys think?

I read about you and it brought a smile to my face! I was like…yeah, go WordPress Star Wars bloggers!
I agree – it ended much too soon. I also think they should have done a lot more in depth interviewing from people who fell in love BECAUSE of the Prequels. Insider has done some great articles about Prequel characters and I wish they would take that kind of research and insight and apply it to why people love the prequels so much. Personally, it could have been expanded.
But, again, great seeing your name there!

Exactly how long is this? Sounds short. Like column short.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like the official magazine saying disliking the prequels “is a perfectly valid opinion”.

That bugged me too but I also think that they didn’t want to make the bashers mad. Us, it doesn’t matter…
