Actor Khan “Kan” Bonfils, who played Saesee Tiin in TPM, passed away suddenly on Monday while rehearsing a play in London.
The Metro reported that Bonfils collapsed during rehearsals for “Dante’s Inferno” and could not be resuscitated.
No age is given in any of the sources I’ve read, including IMBD. Bonfils had also appeared in “Skyfall,” “Batman Begins,” “Sky Captain and the World Of Tomorrow,” and “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle Of Life.” IMDB also says he’d played Tiin again in AOTC but it’s listed under archival footage, meaning it was cut from the film.

I saw one post on Tumblr that said he was born in 1975 so that means he may have been 39 or 40. Still, how sad. Auf Wiedersehen, Master Bonfils.

Wow – he looks really young to die a “natural” death. Way too young. But it can happen – I lost a dear relative when she was only 34 due to a brain aneurysm.

His death is already trending on Yahoo. Every article about him mentions his role as Saesee Tiin first. Just goes to show that the prequels meant something to people.

That’s a distressingly young age. My sympathy goes to his family.
Wasn’t Saesee Tiin part of the (cut) raid on the Droid Control Ship in AOTC? That might explain the IMDB entry.
