October 30, 2018

Comic Con Paris dropped a preview of the 6-inch Black Series Padmé Amidala figure, in her AOTC tighty-whites wear, due to be released in 2019.

The interesting thing is this quote from Hasbro’s Steve Evans:

“Padmé is one of many figures that we will look to represent in 6-inch scale from the prequel trilogy, which over the years has seen a renewed swell of support and fandom”

Hmm…

Now You Can Get Hitched In Padmé’s Gown

September 2, 2018

Wasn’t Padmé’s ’20s-inspired wedding dress awesome? Wouldn’t you like to have one on your big day instead of one of those extremely expensive stripper gowns you see on “Say Yes To The Dress?”  Well, your wish is about to come true:

It follows Padme’s wedding look: a gown with the intricate design down front that is carefully set by hand, a flowing bell train in the back, followed by an overlay on top made from a gorgeous regal lace, a capelet wrapping the shoulders, and a veil decorated with blossoms and handsewn beaded flowers.

“Always Two” Essay On StarWars.com

August 3, 2018

Megan Crouse wrote this piece for Star Wars.com about the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan in the prequels:

Some cracks show long before that, though. In the Obi-Wan & Anakin comic book series, the two Jedi are sent on a rescue mission to the ruined planet Carnelion IV. Anakin was considering leaving the Jedi Order, disturbed by what he saw as the hypocrisy of the Republic. For some Star Wars fans, this was a major revelation: Anakin had considered leaving the order before Revenge of the Sith, trading the life of a Jedi for a peaceful civilian existence? (Maybe he would have ended up as a navigator on a spice freighter. What a different world it would have been if Owen Lars had been telling Luke the truth.)
