Dave Filoni On Rebels, Clone Wars, Etc.

August 13, 2018

This IGN interview seems to strongly indicate we’re not only getting long-plotted episodes like the Siege of Mandalore arc, but completely new stuff:

And then obviously with Clone Wars I’m very in the weeds on that and will have to be, because I myself have had to go back and watch a whole bunch of stuff that I had done, and I went back and watched Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones in depth again. I’m like, “I have to upload this whole timeline.” Just the intricacy of how the clones got made and where Dooku was and all of those things were stuff that I was just doing from memory at the time, because I was in it. Then I switched time periods and went on and did Star Wars Rebels, so to go back into Clone Wars, I have to remember, “Wait – where was everybody? How did that work?” And I had charts and figured all this stuff out, but I’ve uploaded the chip now, so I’m good.

Happy 10th Anniversary To The Clone Wars

August 10, 2018

Hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since TCW landed in our lives.  This site has always  been very supportive of the show and has tracked its progress ever since it came into existence.  I’ll never forget meeting Dave Filoni and Henry Gilroy at SDCC 2008 and how excited they were that this project they’d been working on for years was finally going to be revealed.

Here’s my review of The Clone Wars film release.  Let it not be said I didn’t see the show’s genius from the get-go!

10 years later at SDCC I was there to hear and witness the impossible:  The Clone Wars returning in 2019.  I can’t tell you how freakin’ happy I was at that incredible moment!  So happy birthday, Clone Wars and the great things you brought to the Star Wars galaxy…and dare I say, here’s to many more!

How Rebels Will Affect The Clone Wars

August 8, 2018

Dave Filoni told Cinema Blend that developments on “Rebels” will affect The Clone Wars when it returns next year:

It’s interesting, because Clone Wars affects Rebels and that’s progressive, but now I have to look at it in reverse and I have to look at all the things I did with Ahsoka and Rex and say ‘Well, now I know these things happen so how does that affect what they were like now that I’m back in Clone Wars?’ So I have to do this other time of engineering which I didn’t have to do before because Ahsoka in Clone Wars is always forward-moving, and so is Rex. Their futures were undetermined, but now you know something about them, so that’s different. That’s new for new Clone Wars, so we’ll see. Hopefully I can figure it all out.
