I have every one of these…..and some in duplicate. Anakin and Padmé life-sized cut outs (along with Obi-Wan) take up the corners of my computer room. The majority of my SW collection is of AotC.

I love this stuff, I have the Dark Horse comic adaptation marvel re-released in 2014, I’d love those other ones but they are no longer printed and cost a pretty penny on eBay.

    I’ve got the junior novel.

It’s funny, because I always get the urge to shiver whenever Anakin says “Quiet as a Tomb.”

Excellent observation. Somewhere in my subconscious I acknowledged the eeriness of that adjective/location/metaphor. But it’s who’s saying it and where he’s saying it and therefore who the real subject is. He couldn’t know…could he? There are many, many works of art by SW artists who understand we’ll never forget this – one of the most poignant is Erik Maell (who did those amazing Amidala/Mona Lisa crossover works). He has 3 versions of the work – one actually shows Vader giving in to grief and partially laying on Padme’s casket. The final one is somehow more poignant: Vader places a hand on her casket by the Naboo symbol. There’s also Joe Corroney’s Vader’s Remorse.

It’s a pity that no manga adaption was done as for EP IV, V, VI, and I. (Was there one for EP VII?)
