  1. Pedro Felipe Says:

Indeed, the very sound of the name is unique. Such a masterfully crafted character, Qui Gon is both unconstrained by orthodoxy and compassionate, very fit to be Obi Wan’s master, who is tecnically a by the book jedi, but when young, like many of his fellow jedi was too rought and insensible, saying things like “why do I sense we’ve picked up another pathetic life form?”

  2. Nariel Says:

Qui-Gon is my favorite Jedi too, so I was really glad to see this on SW.com! I have also wondered what could have been if he didn’t die in TPM.

  3. SWPN Says:

“To say the Jedi Order had some issues in the prequels would be an understatement. Their adherence to structure and overconfidence in their rules landed them in trouble.”

    Ugh… Seriously…? Even SW.com?!

    • Pedro Felipe Says:

They were speaking about the order, not the movies.

    • Nariel Says:

Isn’t that the point, though, that the Jedi Order wasn’t perfect? If it had been, not even Palpatine would have managed to destroy it (similarly with the Republic). Palpatine was brilliant at exploiting weaknesses, but those weaknesses were already there.

I do think that makes them sound much worse than they were portrayed.

  4. Hoggle Says:

Qui-gon Jinn wanted the Jedi Order to be Greater.

Count Dooku wanted the Jedi Order to make him Greater.

Both recognised the same sort of issues with the Jedi Order, but expressed it in totally opposite ways.
