And today, Christian Simpson posted on his page somebody doing a similar trailer for TPM:

Awesome vids! I’ve also seen fan made vids adding prequel scenes to TFA trailers. They’re pretty cool too.

Have you guys seen this one floating around Youtube as well.

I got more feels from those videos then I got from the TFA trailler and that’s saying something.

You can tell the original saga (even TESB and ROTJ) are more similar to each other than TFA to any of them. For all his love for ANH, JJ Abrams doesn’t seem to respect its style at all.

I’ve noticed this from the trailers and ads. Kershner and Marquand kept the films remarkably consistent. This looks really different even with the familiar trappings of stormies, AT-ATs, X-Wings, and TIEs.

Lucas was involved in TESB’s storyboarding and he micromanaged ROTJ.

It seems to me JJ borrowed all the iconic elements from the OT to cash in on the fan’s nostalgia (along with rehashing the plot of ANH) while at the same time shooting it in the same ” let’s run as much as we can” style he did Star Trek with. With many scenes from the original saga, you can freeze frame and study them like a picture. The movie may look very pretty but it definitely lacks the thematic depth of Lucas’s visual storytelling technique.

Doesn’t mean it won’t be a good movie but I already know I’ll miss George’s unique style.
