My Guest Appearance On “Faster And More Intense”

If you’ve ever been dying to know what I sound like, tune in to this week’s episode of the “Faster And More Intense” podcast.

This week on Faster and more Intense, Shiloh, Matt, and George share their collecting experiences from Force Friday. We also had a discussion with lazypadawan about her site, The Star Wars Prequel appreciation Society. We also looked forward to what toys we are looking forward to as we get closer to The Force Awakens.

Listen here!  Thanks to the show for having me on.

Cool, but retweet it when it comes out.

You’re famous! All your hard work paid off, I guess.

Just wondering if this is a pro-prequel site, or if you’ll be like Candace Cameron on The View.

Was it just me, or did the audio cut out a lot? Like, there was an audio corruption when you were talking about the inspiration for the site and I completely missed what the guy said that made you angry. This happened a few times where I missed important words that made it difficult to follow.

    • lazypadawan Says:

I don’t recall being angry during the interview.

      • Adam D. Bram (The Nilbog) Says:

No, when you were telling the story of how you started this site, you said someone said something at a convention that was nasty

      • lazypadawan Says:

Oh, that. It was at Celebration IV and during the waste of time that was the opening ceremonies, aside from the free cake, Howard Roffman from Lucasfilm was on stage talking and said something like, “And some fans prefer the prequels” (fanboys boo) and then he added, “but what do they know?” That annoyed the hell out of me and was talking about it the next day at lunch with some people I knew from the A/P Defenders thread on TFN’s message board. I said somebody’s got to do something and this site ended up being the result of that conversation.

      • Marshall Says:

How come this never happens to Star Trek fans? Nobody from Paramount would ever say, “and some fans prefer (insert series that isn’t TOS). But what do they know?”

      • Brian47 Says:

Agreed, that was kind of a dick-ish thing of Hoffman to say, especially at an event designed to celebrate the entire saga. But on the flip side, something similar has happened in the Trek community since the Abrams movies started up. At Trek conventions and in fan groups, the Abrams movies get kicked around and shoved aside in similar fashion as the PT in the SW community.

    Great Podcast.

I have to admit that I wasn’t really a fan of Ahsoka when The Clone Wars came out but after seeing her character develop, she’s really grown on me.

The Clone Wars really does add to the tragic impact of Revenge of The Sith. Seeing these characters that you have grown to like over the seasons meet their doom.

Just my thoughts on that paticular subject that cropped up.

Good podcast (after wading through those guys’ endless comments regarding what TFA items they picked up on Force Friday), was happy to hear your comments on the start of the site and elaborating what you enjoy most about the PT. Interesting that they asked you what you would change about the PT as well…

    • lazypadawan Says:

Yeah, it was fair though. It isn’t something I think about very much, not any more than I think about what I’d do differently about any of the other SW films.
