Cantina Cast Essay

Becca Benjamin is back with another blog post, “Are You An Angel”, an essay about Padmé’s connection with Luke. I have thought of Luke as being Padmé’s avatar in many ways, so this was a pretty interesting perspective.

Very interesting. I too think much of Luke’s personality (the Skywalker Whine notwithstanding) is very much Padmé, while Leia is very much like her rebellious father.

I know I picked up on the “Luke’s like his mother; Leia’s like her father” suggestions from what other people were saying, but once I’d heard them say it I was willing to agree with it.

They’ve done it again! Another nice pro-PT piece:

I feel like so many fans stifle their PT just to avoid anti-PT blowback and internet trolls. Keep it up! Looks like I’ll have to visit Cantina Cast on a regular basis now…
