Liam Neeson Would Come Back As Qui-Gon

While talking to Yahoo UK Movies about “Taken 3” (opening tomorrow), Liam Neeson said he’d be up for returning as beloved Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn…which he already has twice on Clone Wars:

We asked the 62-year-old actor whether he’d be up for a spin-off film featuring his character (watch the video above) and he told us, “Yeah, I’d say so. Yeah, that would be terrific.”

If you want to see me super pumped to see a spinoff movie, make one about Quiggy!

There’s also some talk about how much he enjoyed making TPM and what he thinks about Kylo Ren’s Excalisaber.

  1. Hunk a Junk Says:

I’m still hoping for a Ewan Obi-Wan spinoff movie taking place before ANH. Since Obi-Wan is communicating with Qui-Gon during this time, learning the important skill of maintaining his identity after death, it would be a great opportunity to get Qui-Gon in the movie either as a voice or a shimmering spirit. Let’s see this training and see Obi-Wan on an adventure one more time!

I love this idea. What a fantastic movie it would make! It would certainly make up for Qui-Gon not being able to appear in Episode III…

    It’s not that I don’t love Qui-Gon . . . I do. But with whom would he connect with?

    • Nobody Says:

Why not Luke? Wouldn’t it show how great and wise a master Luke has become that he’s able to reach beyond the netherworld of the Force to contact Qui-Gon? It would be a near perfect bridge between OT and PT fandom.

  3. Adam D. Bram (The Nilbog) Says:

Do it. Qui-Gon is awesome and so is Liam Neeson

  4. Aeryn Says:

Maybe he could appear as a ghost/flashback in the rumored Obi-Wan spinoffs? Either way, DO IT!
