PT Alum In Holiday Movie Releases

Thus far, I know of a few flicks where you can catch your favorite PT alumni in action:

The Imitation Game–The main star is the ever-present Benedict Cumberbatch but it also stars Keira Knightley in this film about breaking the Enigma code during WWII. It’s already out in theaters.

Exodus: Gods And Kings–Ridley Scott’s Bible flick stars Christian Bale as Bat-Moses and co-stars Uncle Owen himself, Joel Edgerton. Out on December 12.

Annie–The second film version of the Broadway musical (there was another one in 1982) features a singing, dancing Rose Byrne along with Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, and Quvenzhalé Wallis in the title role. Out December 19, or in pirated form on the internet thanks to “North Korea.”

If you know of any more between now and the end of the year, let me know.

I have to say that is a better made trailer than the offical TFA trailer. Lucas’ work makes JJ’s clips look amateurish.

You can also spot Christopher “Count Dooku” Lee in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies”, returning as Saruman The White (Wizard).

Also, WETA resident visual effect supervisor, Joe Letteri is on the Hobbit credits – he worked at ILM on the Star Wars special editions.
