Okay, Readers…

Given the huge numbers of “reach” some SW alumni-related posts have received on the FB page, I was wondering about the interest you, the humble reader, might have in posting more of that kinds of news here. Not so much stuff like So-And-So was photographed on a Starbucks run but bigger news like getting cast in something big or popping out a kid or something. I’m not running Us Magazine or TMZ and I’ll stay away from gossip and stick to just facts. I could either post it here or start another SWPAS page where you can keep up with that sort of thing. Let me know what you think.

Also, do you have any questions for yet another installment of Ask SWPAS?

I think that would be a great idea to post stuff like that here, especially for cast members who don’t do high-profile stuff.

    For next ask SWAPS:

    1) What do you think of the rumors of Luke going over to the Dark Side and becoming the villain?

I noticed an “entertainment tidbit” in my newspaper a few days ago, just below the announcement of the title The Force Awakens, which I suppose would qualify for the “alumni-related news” you were talking about, so I’d be fine with you sharing it.

Although this might be a bit early yet, it does feel just slightly more “on-topic” in this post to mention that if anyone else gets Turner Classic Movies in their cable package, there’s going to be a short documentary shown there on the 25th of this month called George Lucas and the World of Fantasy Cinema. While the news piece mentions it’ll include “an in-depth discussion of his own iconic Star Wars series”, I suppose all we can do right now is hope he’ll include (or he’ll be allowed to include) his whole saga in the discussion.

An “Ask SWPAS” question I’ve been mulling over for a little while now: I’ve heard from a few people who’ve politely and carefully told me they considered themselves surprised to “not have been offended” by TPM, but grew more disillusioned with the two movies that followed. I refrained from wondering whether this had something to do with dismissals growing curter with time, but I am wondering if there’s a germ of something we might have to work at responding to there.

I think it would be a great feature for this site!

    As for a couple questions:

Do you think there’s a possibility that George Lucas might once again write (or direct) a Star Wars or Indiana Jones film even though he’s sold the company and has supposedly retired from blockbuster film-making?

Besides Anakin/Vader, is there any villain from the Star Wars saga that you sympathize with (or secretly root for) when watching the films?

  5. BansheeGun Says:

Question: Where were you when you heard the news of The Clone Wars’ cancellation and what was your immediate reaction?

Also: What sites do you consider “Pro-Prequel” vs. the “Anti-Prequel”?

  6. jarjarbacktattooguy Says:

How likely do you think it is that Mortis and the legacy and mystery of The Ones will figure into The Force Awakens?

Would you consider making posts or a new page dedicated to other underappreciated Lucas films?

    How about:

    The Willow Appreciation Society

    The Captain Eo Appreciation Society

The Maniac Mansion (TV series) Appreciation Society

The Land Before Time Appreciation Society
