Star Wars Takes Over Sky Deutschland In December

Do you live in Germany? If so, you’re in luck if you have satellite/cable. Beginning December 1 and for two weeks, Sky Deutschland will be all Star Wars all of the time, 24/7. Not only will all of the films be shown, there will also be documentaries and fun stuff like that. (If they threw in Clone Wars that would be even better!)

There’s more info here.

That’s a cool thing and I’ll certainly watch out for the featurettes and bits of the movies, although Pay-TV is not too popular here (and if it is, it’s for sports/soccer).

I still remember a commercial from 2006 when Premiere (which was Sky’s pevious name) first aired all six films. They used Palpatine’s “Do it!” (or, in German, “Tu es!”) as an invitation to take out a subscription.

I think it was probably this commercial that finally convinced me to give Star Wars a chance.

LP – any chance at all that this will happen for us in US? I know we all have all 6 films but I turn into a satiated couch potato for Star Wars marathons.
