PT Reference On “Heroes Of Cosplay”

It was actually in last week’s episode of SyFy’s “Heroes Of Cosplay,” not the one that aired 8/27, but there were some clips from the recap of the 8/21 episode.

The show follows a group of BNFs, er, cosplayers who compete in contests on the convention circuit. One competitor–not a featured member of the “cast”–got on the stage at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con in a rather splendid Queen Amidala getup from TPM. You can see a pic of it here.

Now wait, a Queen Amidala cosplayer? I thought “everyone” HATED that movie? Note my sarcasm 😉

🙂 The Phantom Menace deserved every award in the book for best costume/makeup. I do not think any film before or since Episode One has ever had so many unique, detailed, and varied costume changes as Natalie Portman wore in the span of one film. Even the Viceroy and his lackeys got unbelievably detailed costumes.

Indeed. That fact that Trisa Bigger never won a Academy Award, or at least nominated tells me that there rigged and hate Lucas. Jealousy of him. No film maker before or since had created such a well loved film series.

I’ve seen the costumes on display. It’s incredible how much detail isn’t picked up on camera (another argument for digital…it captures a lot more detail than film). They were magnificently-crafted pieces.

So, i don’t know if you addressed this, what are your thoughts on Abrams doing VII on film?
