James Arnold Taylor On The End Of Clone Wars

March 18, 2013

James Arnold Taylor chats with IGN on what was to come on Clone Wars before the plug got pulled. (It was mentioned on the Full of Sith podcast that eight seasons were being planned.)

I think it’s imperative to keep up the pressure to make sure they at least have the decency to tie up loose ends.

Clone Wars Irish Wake

March 16, 2013

Last night was the Clone Wars wrap party up in the Bay Area, attended by most of the cast and crew. You can find photos here, here, here, and here.

When they went out to a local In-N-Out (I’ve been to that one in Petaluma come to think of it), this was (no lie) their ticket.

Another 10 Ways The Prequels Made A Better Saga

March 16, 2013

With all of the concern over the fate of our fave t.v. show, the third part of What Culture’s 10 Ways The Prequels Made Star Wars A Better Saga slipped in under the radar. At least my radar, heh heh. The last part focuses on ROTS.

(Do yourself a favor and avoid the comments. You’ll lose whatever shred of faith you have left in humanity.)

New Links

Check under “Blogroll” for a mess of new links, including for Rebel Force Radio and the brand spankin’ new site Save The Clone Wars.

Padmé & Saché: Together Again!

March 14, 2013

I’ve seen this new Miss Dior ad with Natalie Portman on t.v. a couple of times but I didn’t know, until Jedi News pointed it out, that the ad was directed by Sofia Coppola, daughter of Francis Ford, film director, and ex-handmaiden. The music’s from Grace Jones, but she was never in Star Wars. Unfortunately.

Guys, please, no slobbering on the screen:

Update: The guy is apparently Nash Edgerton, Joel’s brother and prequel stunt double.

Ahsoka’s Legacy

March 14, 2013 just posted an interview with Dave Filoni on Ahsoka’s legacy.

Exit Interviews

March 13, 2013

Rebel Force Radio has a special and emotional interview with James Arnold Taylor.

Full Of Sith has its own interview with Taylor and Catherine Taber.

Meanwhile, Newsarama has a two-part interview with Ashley Eckstein.

Filoni To Work On New Series?

March 13, 2013

Was this in the works all along or has Disney realized we’re p.o.’ed? Apparently they plan on keeping Dave Filoni to work on this planned new series. Check out the link here.

Whatever the case may be, it’s a teeny tiny little sign that maybe just maybe there’s an in here to make sure Clone Wars isn’t just trashed and forgotten. Rebel Force Radio is still encouraging fans to write into Disney and Lucasfilm if they haven’t already. Get kids to write in too if you know any who watch the show! This open letter on Star Wars Underworld has the right idea.

On a side note, I noticed today that the creator behind long-cancelled cult hit “Veronica Mars” is hosting a Kickstarter project with former star Kristen Bell. If they raise $2 million, they will make a “Veronica Mars” film. When I checked this afternoon, they were already up to almost $1.5 million. Hmm…

Rules Reminder

If you are new here or just need a refresher, PLEASE read the Rules of the House link just at the right of the page’s main display.

Among the rules: no vulgarity, no threadjacking, no spamming.

Comedy Relief

March 12, 2013

It has nothing really to do with Star Wars but I figure some sites with guaranteed laughs are the RX needed for the heavy stuff that’s been happening lately.

Check out good ol’ People Of Walmart, your daily dose of “What the hell were those people thinking before they left the house?” While you’re there, check out the many sister sites it hosts, including my favorite WTF Tattoos.

This site, Longmire Does Romance Novels, was put up many years ago, but it’s still funny. Who can’t resist “For The Love Of Scottie McMullet” or “The Legend of The Totally Lost Mountie?”

Be sure you’re not drinking anything while perusing Cake Wrecks, featuring the worst in baked goods.

Any funny sites to share?
