Star Wars Land In The Works?

Apparently not everything is being focused on Episode VII these days. Disneyland is polling its visitors to gauge interest in a Star Wars-themed section.

If you visit the Jedi News link to Slash Film’s site, you can find screen caps of this apparently online survey. Some of it seems to ask about interest in merchandise, some of it asks trivia, and then there’s this screen cap of a question asking which trilogy is your favorite. Frankly any “Star Wars Land” that ignores a significant part of the saga would be pretty lame. But if you get your paws on that poll, vote to make sure all of Star Wars is represented.

Stay tuned!

Ugh. Another prediction from William Gibson that turns out to be true.

      What did he predict?

There’s a “Skywalker Land” or something like it in the world of his “Bridge” books (“Virtual Light”, “Idoru” and “All Tomorrow’s Parties”). This is the way the world ends– not with a bang, but with a bastardization of “Star Wars”….

You might find this strange but the idea of a park with Star Wars themed rides and stuff doesn’t bother me at all. At least if it’s done well. I used to joke that if they open one, that’s where I want to be buried.

Everyone is doing polls in Disneyland and I’m just sitting here being a Rhode Islander who can’t drive and can’t afford airfare.

Both Disneyland and Disneyworld have had Star Wars rides since the 80s. In fact they updated them two years ago to include stuff from the PT films.
