Craig Stratton sent a link to his post about his work as a background player in several movies and t.v. shows, including a stint as a Nikto in TPM. There are a lot of fun anecdotes…check it out.

As part of Gentle Giant’s May the 4th Festivities, it is giving away a production sample of its upcoming Kit Fisto mini bust. Contest ends on…May the 4th.
From the desk of Rancho Obi-Wan:
Rancho Obi-Wan, the museum devoted to Star Wars memorabilia and to fandom, is giving away 4 Initiate memberships in honor of the upcoming unofficial Star Wars holiday, May the 4th Be With You!
To have a chance to win, simply sign up to be on the ROW mailing list, with no obligation except to receive occasional emails from Rancho Obi-Wan. Fans under the age of 16 need to get permission from a parent to sign up. Simply go to www.ranchoobiwan.org, click where indicated, and fill in the blank!
Or you can celebrate May the 4th by purchasing a membership for you or other big fans in your life. Be one of the first to receive the now-mailing Charter Year Membership Kit including an exclusive patch and membership card.
The 4 lucky fans will be randomly chosen from everyone who signs up for the ROW mailing list between now and 4:44 pm PDT May 4th. Winners will be announced May 5th on the Rancho Obi-Wan Facebook page: www.facebook.com/RanchoObiWan , twitter @RanchoObiWan , and www.ranchoobiwan.org. May the 4th and the Force be with you!
Check out the goods that will be for sale at Darth’s Mall, the pop up shop set up for Disney’s Star Wars Weekends. These are so amazing, I hope Disney will still have them for sale at Tatooine Traders when I head out to O-town in August! (Oh and it would be nice if Disneyland’s Star Traders got them too.)
Actor Topher Grace explains in an interview with the Huffington Post the whole deal with his edit of the prequels:
What I was trying to do … by the way, I did want to learn how to edit, in the way that directors sometimes take acting classes. They’re not doing it to become actors, they’re doing it to understand the medium they’re in better, from another angle. And that’s why I did that. And, by the way, it has helped my acting — editing something that didn’t have me in it.
He also mentions he’d like to try the same thing with “Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.”
I saw this on Facebook a couple of weeks ago and when I saw it again on Pinterest, I had to share!
The original is on DeviantArt.
If you didn’t see this on my Facebook, Twitter, or LiveJournal, here it is…a fun video where a band edits Star Wars characters into lip-synching and dancing to its song. Huge bonus points for using all of the movies! Yay!
AOTC’s 10th anniversary is creeping up on us like cheap underwear!
As I’ve already announced, the theme/focus of Star Wars Prequel Appreciation Day 2012 (5/16/12) will be AOTC. Start thinking of your memories from 2002!
Besides that, 2012 marks the 10th anniversary of Star Wars Celebration II, which is the very first Celebration I attended. Next week, I’ll post my epic road trip to Indianapolis, a journey of rain, Walmart stops, lost keys, wrong motel rooms, LOOOONG lines, slow service, and drooling over Hayden Christensen.
I’ll also post other fun stuff: videos, interviews, t.v. ads, etc..
I’m looking for someone with genuine graphic skills to work on a logo for the site. Please contact me at SWPASadmin@gmail.com.
