Sexy Sci-Fi Poll

Brit mag SFX ran a poll on who are the sexiest characters in sci-fi, including a lot of supernatural. fantasy, and non-sf genre characters voted upon by ballot-stuffing fans.

Weirdly enough, SFX ponders the pairings of male and female characters who ranked the same number on the list. Clocking in at #60 are Padmé and Obi-Wan.

I smell an Obidala conspiracy. Besides, Anakin’s hot. He should be #1 with a bullet.

This list committed all sorts of cardinal sins. It not only split Padme and Anakin, it also paired her daughter with – Oliver Queen??? Not only was Anakin left out so was his son. I guess Skywalkers aren’t sexy enough. I can kind of see Han drooling over Xena and her warrior prowess but she and Luke (or she and Obi-Wan) would make a better team due to their skills with swords.

    I think Anakin/Padme is a beautiful pairing. 🙂

This poll doesn’t look like a serious one anyway.

No I don’t think it was, but I still wonder what SFX was thinking by coupling the male/female choices. Emma Peel with Deckard from Blade Runner? Counselor Troi with Will Smith’s character from Independence Day (whenever people put down TPM as the worst movie ever made, I ask myself: “did they ever see Independence Day”?)? The caption at the bottom of the Obi-Wan/Padme pictures asks why Padme never fell for charming Obi-Wan. Well if she did- there would be no Luke or Leia. And that would give fans a very valid reason to hate the prequels if that were the case.

Anakin Lake Retreat – that look, that stroke. You all know what I’m talking about… and then after the crash landing on Coruscant…..
Right before Anakin says he’s tired of hiding their relationship, their marriage.

here? yes here. NOTHING hotter in Star Wars. I know Hayden’s out there, getting blundgeoned and IMO emotionally throttled but I hope somehow he knows he most definitely made a connection.
