#9–TPM’s DVD Won Four Awards

According to “Anticipation: The Real Life Story of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace,” TPM’s DVD won four awards in the fifth annual DVD Awards in 2002: “Viewer’s Choice,” “Best Authoring,” “Best Menu Design,” and “Best Audio Presentation.” No other title won as many awards at that year’s ceremony.

ForceCast At Skywalker Ranch

TPM Nite With Tampa Bay Lightning

To promote TPM, NHL hockey team the Tampa Bay Lightning will celebrate with a special Star Wars night on February 16. For 50 bucks, fans can sign up for the Star Wars Prequel VIP Pack, which includes an all-you-can-eat menu, booze for the grownups, an endzone seat, and a special Darth Maul hockey puck! There will also be costumed characters and fan sections.

Qui-Gon Vs. Picard

A few months ago, William Shatner and Carrie Fisher engaged in a battle of the franchises. The battle continues, albeit in a much friendlier way, with Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart. This time the topic is toys on British t.v.’s “The Graham Norton Show,” video of which you can see here. Of course, Qui-Gon wins! (I remember those banks! I have the Obi-Wan one.)
