I’ve officially joined the team behind the long-running fan site AAHA, otherwise known as Anakin And His Angel. It recently went through a revamp and I was asked to post general Star Wars news items for them.

It was five years ago on November 4 that the first teaser trailer for ROTS debuted. The teaser poster made its debut right about the same time:

This month’s Wattographs offers the team behind Jabba the Hutt in ROTJ and Wayne Pygram, Tarkin from ROTS:

Wattographs is pleased close 2009 with the debut of the next in our Connoisseur Series, Jabba the Hutt! This exciting piece features the creative team behind the vile gangster and will be signed by Mike Edmonds (Jabba’s tail), Dave Barclay (Chief Jabba puppeteer), Toby Philpott (Jabba’s Head & Arm), Howie Hammerman (Jabba’s burps!), as well as John Coppinger (Jabba sculptor) Mike Quinn, Bob Keen, Jez-Gibson Harris, and Richard Padbury. Sizes are available in 11×14 and 16×20. We are also taking fans’ personal items for individual autographs also.

Wayne Pygram portrayed the sinister Governor Tarkin in the closing scenes of “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” While his role was intended for dialogue, it was shortened to joining Vader & the Emperor to gaze at his destructive creation. Pygram is no stranger to movies or television having appeared in abc’s LOST & as Scorpious on ‘Farscape.’ Mr. Pygram will be signing official photographs and fans’ personal items!

Orders for the Jabba the Hutt CS willl be taken through December 1st. Signing for Wayne Pygram ends on November 3th. Personal items need to be in Scott’s possession by those dates. Please see site for full details!

Hugh Quarshie, who was the beacon of shining optimism as Captain Panaka in TPM (heh), sat down for an interview with the ForceCast during the recent Star Wars Days convention for an exclusive interview.

Wherever Celebration V lands next year, it won’t be in Baltimore, MD. TFN posted that Charm City’s bid was rejected because its convention facilities were too small.

This leaves Orlando, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Minneapolis in the running. There could also be other sites under consideration.

On the way home from work, I swung by Target and checked out the licensed Christmas goodies already stocked on the shelves. If you love Clone Wars, you will love this year’s Star Wars crop o’ stuff. There’s a flat ornament with the Republic sigil and some clonetroopers, two different Clone Wars-themed Christmas stockings, and a blue Clone Wars ball ornament featuring your favorite characters. Usually more stuff appears over the course of the weeks between Halloween and Thanksgiving, so keep an eye out.

You can complete your Star Wars-themed Yuletide decor with Artoo string lights, glass character ornaments from the movies, and a Yoda tree topper. His lightsaber apparently lights up.

Build-A-Bear, the popular mall franchise where you can get a custom bear made, has for sale Star Wars-themed bears. You can get Clone Wars!Anakin, Captain Rex, Darth Vader, generic Jedi, or a cute Star Wars tee/pants set.

Hasbro has posted finalists for its diorama contest, where fans can create their own Star Wars scenes with their action figures. There are two PT-themed entries but my favorite is the Sith Reunion one. “We Almost Did It,” heh heh.

starwars.com posted a transcript of a Clone Wars table read featuring the cast at the recent Star Wars Fan Days convention. Dave Filoni wrote it on the flight to Dallas. It sets things up between “Senate Spy” and TOMORROW’s (don’t forget) episode “Landing At Point Rain.”
