Haters told me Lawrance Kasdan “saved” Star Wars back then. Yet the same people tell me Lucas “destroyed” Star Wars with Yoda’s fights.

Very nice. He deserves it. He’s a master. I still think the fx is TPM alone look better then most new films. The fx in the PT look real to me. Hopfully this means he’ll be on board with EP VII.

hahahaha! That’s hilarious, that movie would’ve ticked off every box on my 14 year-old self’s checklist. It seems like that trailer was targeted at video store owners; I can just picture some clammy middle-aged dude with a cigar clenched in his teeth frantically calling up his Lionsgate sales rep and ordering a dozen in each format–”arright, arright, ya sold ME!”. I wonder how much Ashley’s in the movie beyond her “RAWWWWK AWWWWN!”, but it doesn’t look like it’s streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime…Maybe she could revisit her character in one of Hayden’s microbudget Russian mob-financed movies?

Interesting that Lucas at first decided that Yoda would not be a warrior to Lawrence Kasdan and Kasdan said “I don’t like it”. So much for people complaining that Lucas is surrounded by “yes men”. It’s also good that the article brings up how “Empire” was critically hated at the time, so this case with the critical failure of the prequels is just history repeating itself.

Funny how when the Clone Wars ends everybody appericate it. That’s what I feel will happen to Lucas when he becomes one with the Force. He’ll finally get the respect he deserves, and be hailed as a ground breaking genius.
