Gotta love it when they take it to another level and actually travel to “Tatooine!” Here’s another cosplayer in Padmé-wear photographed in Tunisia:

Anidala on deviantART has a fun cosplay page where folks send in photos of themselves in costume. Check out Amidala’s throne, heh heh. Brace yourselves…the Trade Federation’s coming and boy are they gonna regret it:
This pair actually went to Tunisia and took these pictures!

You can see more of them here.
Nobody can bring it like the gals who cosplay/costume as Padmé Amidala. Check out Dutch film student Riluna in her Queen Amidala gear.
(As an aside, one day I’ve got to go to the Elf Fantasy Fair in the Netherlands…imagine Comic Con, a Ren Faire, seminars on all things ancient, a pagan festival, and a goth music fest on the grounds of a real live Dutch medieval castle.)

There are pictures galore, many posted in uber-closeups by fans who managed to find the costumes on display somewhere so costumers can make their versions as accurately as possible. Information on where to find accurate fabrics, how to make accessories, etc. is also available.
This young fan from the Philippines decided to make her social debut SW-style…dressed as Padmé, course:
