James Arnold Taylor chats with IGN on what was to come on Clone Wars before the plug got pulled. (It was mentioned on the Full of Sith podcast that eight seasons were being planned.)
I think it’s imperative to keep up the pressure to make sure they at least have the decency to tie up loose ends.

Eight Seasons you say? Interesting, very interesting.
“…It’s funny, because I remember when we recorded these episodes and that final episode — and this is up for debate among Star Wars fans, I suppose — and part of me goes, “Why didn’t Yoda sense this?” He senses so many things, they know so much with the Force, and yet they were clouded on whether or not it was Ahsoka that did it, and Plo Koon as well. I found that fascinating, and at the time we were recording it, I was like, “C’mon! They should know that it wasn’t Ahsoka.” So I was happy that Obi-Wan was on her side in that…”
Lol, even JAT hesitated at the lack of common “sense” that Yoda and the Council displayed during those last few episodes. I can imagine him in the recording booth making confused Obi-Wan expression-isms when he read that part of the script. And overall, PlObi-Wan (yes Plobi-Wan) and Anakin, to a degree, were about the only ones who didn’t come off as completely ignorant when discussing Ahsoka’s guilt or innocence. Sadly I don’t think we’ll get any more addition to the Ahsoka/Council storyline; if anything we’ll just see Ahsoka running around somewhere, far enough away from any future Order 66.
I just wish they could have gotten a season’s heads up before Disney cancelled them. Oh well, such things happen when power changes hands.

The important thing at this point is that at least we get a final duel with Maul and Obi-Wan, and that we get an arc in which Palpatine is captured by Grievous leading to Episode III
