Ya know, I’m starting to change my mind concerning the Season 5 finale. I still dislike what they did to the Jedi Council and Barriss, but as I rewatch it, the positives far outweigh the negatives in this arc. Ashley’s interview reveals the kind of thought that went into certain pivotal scenes. “We didn’t want to make her just crying, until she turns to walk away, then you see that tear. We wanted to give her a sense of strength and composure until she turned her back.” That was a smart decision for The Clone Wars team as was the nice touch of having Plo hold Obi-Wan back at the end of the episode.
Those audio interviews were great; they should seriously include excerpts of those on the blu-ray/DVD (if there is one, ahhhhh!!).
James’ reflections, his memories of Ian Avercrombie, and his comments on the character of Obi-Wan and The Clone Wars in general were very interesting and insightful.
