Comedy Relief

It has nothing really to do with Star Wars but I figure some sites with guaranteed laughs are the RX needed for the heavy stuff that’s been happening lately.

Check out good ol’ People Of Walmart, your daily dose of “What the hell were those people thinking before they left the house?” While you’re there, check out the many sister sites it hosts, including my favorite WTF Tattoos.

This site, Longmire Does Romance Novels, was put up many years ago, but it’s still funny. Who can’t resist “For The Love Of Scottie McMullet” or “The Legend of The Totally Lost Mountie?”

Be sure you’re not drinking anything while perusing Cake Wrecks, featuring the worst in baked goods.

Any funny sites to share?

And that is why I’ll never get a tattoo, lol. Makes botox look like an art form… As for funny sites, theonion.com almost always has a funny article or video somewhere that makes me smile. :) Anyways, that originaltrilogy site used to make me involuntarily chuckle just browsing through their forums back when the Blu-ray set was released. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow-motion. Most of them are closed-minded, hypocritical, and ignorant, but some “Unaltered Original Trilogy Only” fans can respect others’ opinions and can even take about the films and Lucas himself in a civil manner. Those are a rare breed however, as that site so eloquently shows. Even though their view is distorted, they are, from a certain point of view, protecting their version of Star Wars.

The sad thing is that us “Original Star Wars Saga” fans might have to become similarly bitter and aggressive towards Disney in order to protect the whole Saga. I will remain cautiously optimistic about Ep. VII, but Disney has spectacularly FAILED by cancelling the prequel films &TCW, destroying a Lucas-approved series and game, and any other Original Saga projects we may not have even known about. They might as well take George’s films, the TV series, novels, comics, games, etc. and lock them in the Disney Vault (TM) never to be heard from again (unless they choose to re-release the films when they feel the ‘market’ is ready).

Those Romance novel spoofs are pretty hilarious. What makes it even more hilarious is that my Barnes and Noble decided to put their entire Star Wars novels section right next to all the Romance novels; it always feels a little…strange…browsing for a good Star Wars book. (Borders would never have done this! RIP Borders! ;) ) It’s also funny because when I go to Meijer’s, all the new Star Wars paperbacks are literally in the middle of all the Romance novels. Honestly, I cannot fathom why they choose to do this? Perhaps they should start making cheesy Star Wars romance novels, lol…

Anyway, here’s a pic I did a year ago when Maul was about to return on The Clone Wars and I happened to be listening to The Beatles:

Well lazypadawan, this appears to be the second part (the first part is above) of my original missing post that just “disappeared.” I guess I just had to post it in two parts. I promise future posts will be shorter! :D

I also have some Star Wars related humor pics. Just click the arrows or pics to scroll through; I’m pretty sure the link’s working. Some have been posted here before, but I’m sure there are a few unseen pics in there to enjoy.

This video will either make you smile, grimace, or make you realize that there are others less fortunate than you: “Can You Point Your Fingers and Do the Twist??????” Can You??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDHSbrPZH4A

Just got back from the creepy Wiggles playground…and it was not pretty.

I killed them all. They’re dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children and the non-gender Wiggles too.
