Paul actually posted about this on his Facebook a week or two ago but it wasn’t until last weekend I was able to make it to a Target and saw for myself new Star Wars stuff in the back to school section.
(Back to school stuff in July?? How depressing for a kid!)
I found some spiral notebooks for $2.50 each, including Clone Wars, Darth Maul, and TPM covers. There are folders with the same cover art for a buck each.
Rebelscum has photos of those items and other Star Wars items for sale at your local Targét.

You beat me to the punch, LP, I just posted about these!
I didn’t see the folders, did the TPM have both sides of the cover that the notebook had?
I thought the same thing about how bummed out I’d be as a kid if I was dragged on a back-to-school shopping junket in July…I’m sure Halloween stuff will be out by mid-August.

The folders had exactly the same key art as the spiral notebooks.

but….notice how AotC and for that matter, RotS is invisible…. by plan? It’s like Lucasfilm wants Anakin to be remembered only as he is in The Clone Wars. and yet’s it’s 10th anniversary of AotC -

That bugs me too.
Sometimes Lucasfilm seems to pretend AOTC didn’t exist.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they skipped AOTC 3D with a shallow excuse….

“Sometimes Lucasfilm seems to pretend AOTC didn’t exist.”
Except for the image of Padmé in her maimed tightie-whiteys, anyway. Ugh.

Well, TPM had its re-release this year so I guess that’s why it wasn’t a total wash with the prequel trilogy
.

Perhaps they’re just holding off on all the AOTC stuff for the eventual 3-D release, but color me somewhat cynical on that.

I love Lucas, I’m forever in his debt. But, Lucasfilm licencing needs a reality slap.
