Star Wars Saga In 60 Minutes

The Star Wars Trilogy In 30 Minutes show has been expanded to a whole hour and will include the prequels. The first run will be in Beverly Hills through August 19. TFN has a copy of the show’s press release.

No word on whether the show will be at Celebration VI. I saw the original show at Celebration IV and some new prequel-related segments during the con’s “Opening Ceremonies.” The ROTS part was absolutely hysterical.

That’s the first thing I did – read the article, hoping to see inclusion in CVI. They were wonderful at CIII and CIV but sadly missing at CV. Would love to see how they handle the prequels. Their treatment of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru – frozen in time! Hope they’ll be there next month but the reality is…probably not. Seems like that would have been mentioned plus if they’re now involved with a “premiere” of the hour show…but wait….hmmmm ends on August 19th. Excellent timing, no?

Hi, I’m the goofball writer and director of STAR WARS SAGA IN 60 MINUTES (previously STAR WARS TRILOGY IN 30 MINUTES) and just wanted to say thanks for mentioning the show. We’re incredibly excited to be adding the prequels and I couldn’t be more touched you said nice things about what we’ve done before. We hope this version will bring you some laughs as well. (If nothing else, this is basically our version of Star Wars Jazzercize so at least it’s giving us a good workout!)

Nice work, Patrick! Your show was one of the highlights of CIII for my wife and me…it was a refreshing blast of organic fun after way too many hours of standing in long lines.
