Sexy Sci-Fi Poll

March 29, 2012

Brit mag SFX ran a poll on who are the sexiest characters in sci-fi, including a lot of supernatural. fantasy, and non-sf genre characters voted upon by ballot-stuffing fans.

Weirdly enough, SFX ponders the pairings of male and female characters who ranked the same number on the list. Clocking in at #60 are Padmé and Obi-Wan.

I smell an Obidala conspiracy. Besides, Anakin’s hot. He should be #1 with a bullet.

A Few Comments To Brighten Your Day

March 24, 2012

While poking around the listener mailbag at the Forcecast, I saw some interesting comments.

On TPM:

I’m positive that the Big G.L. clearly identified the events that detail how Anakin was going to rise and fall as he wrote the script for Episode 1, because in this shot- we have Palpatine on one side of the screen, and Anakin on the other. And the only two who stand between Palpatine and Anakin is Obi-Wan, and Padme. I think this small detail illustrates how clever George Lucas has always been as a filmmaker, and how important Episode 1 is in telling a complete story of Anakin Skywalker.

There’s someone else at the bottom who was sticking up, sort of, for Anakin/Padmé (it will be a grand day when prequel defenders no longer have to qualify their comments with shopworn criticisms). But all of the letters are interesting to read.

IGN Interview

March 22, 2012

IGN posted an extensive interview with Dave Filoni, looking back at Season 4 and discussing a bit about Season 5. Most of it is pretty interesting, though I am not at all mollified by his side of the whole Simon Pegg thing.
