Shawn sent a link to this review of “The People Vs. George Lucas.” I don’t think this guy is an unabashed fan of all of the movies but he raises the point that people, especially kids, love the prequels and wonders why Clone Wars doesn’t figure into this at all.

Have you seen The People vs. George Lucas..? If so, you wouldn’t call it a Lucas-bashing film.

Having read three different reviews of it, I don’t think I’d care for it. It’s a bizarre waste of time to make a movie about a bunch of doughy goateed overgrown boys who think a billionaire owes them something.

“The People vs. George Lucas” isn’t a Lucas-bashing film. I’ve heard that line before, like when bashers claim that the Red Letter Media video “reviews” of the prequels really show deep love for SW and The Phantom Edit is respectful of Lucas.

RLM “reviews” show deep love for SW? How? Those videos are full of fallacies, double standards, dry jokes, and arrogance.

Ike Turner love, is more like it. “What’s love got to do with it?”

Yeah, it does show their deep love for SW and Lucas. You know, the kind of love you show when you shove your significant other down a flight of stairs and then point and laugh when they cry for help. That kind.

Well, the reviewer of the film described it as “a 90-minute-long rant against the filmmaker”, and he saw the film.

“doughy goateed overgrown boys who think a billionaire owes them something.”
I laughed my arse off reading this!
So true, so true. Thanks, that made my day!
I also have 0% interest in seeing this.

Lazy’s reply should be on a t-shirt.
I think I have less than 0% interest …

Eh. It’s stuff like this that makes me wish I could afford to do video and editing myself.

Second that. The SWPAS really needs to somehow, someway get some first class video responses going … that would be a whole nother brand of awesome.

Who knows? I’m looking into starting up again with an old mini DV camera I have, so maybe I’ll give it a shot at some point. I’ll at least try to givethe bashers a run for their money in terms of pretentious art-house method. Something like “Histoire(s) du Galaxy” (and I wonder how many bashers would even get that).
