My copy of Star Wars Insider arrived in the mail today and reader tragiclove said she saw it on the stands at Barnes & Noble.
I haven’t sat down and read it in detail yet, but I flipped through it. It looks good…I’ll give you my thoughts when I’m done with the issue.

A few weeks ago, I posted on rumors that Stila, whose products were used by makeup artists working on AOTC and ROTS, was going bankrupt. Padmé costumers and fangirls who needed that movie-accurate shade of Jo and Natalie lipsticks can relax. The upscale cosmetics company has been sold to a private equity firm.
So go forth to Sephora and Nordstrom and rejoice!

Director Ken Annakin, who made movies like Swiss Family Robinson and The Longest Day has passed away at the age of 94.
Of course he had a long, distinguished career but he is also at the center of an urban legend/rumor/whatever that George Lucas got the moniker “Anakin” from his last name. Lucas denied it through a publicist but the story will probably persist, particularly since pronouncements from Lucasfilm can be inconsistent. Read Mr. Annakin’s obit here.

As I thought, the polystone diorama is done in photorealistic style rather than in CW’s animated style. Yours for only $300!

Sue Rostoni at Lucas Books has said that there will be no paperback edition of the Clone Wars “movie” tie-in novel by Karen Traviss in the near future. At first she said it was probably because the book didn’t sell as well as expected but according to Del Rey’s Shelley Shapiro, it has mostly to do with the decision to issue the other CW books in trade paperback format. Yeah, I’m confused too. Read more here.

There’s a rumor that there will be a new CW-based game called The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 coming from Krome Studios. The game will allow players to play as Anakin or as Ahsoka and fight the likes of Cad Bane. LucasArts won’t confirm or deny which means it’s true
. No word on when the game will be out, but you can read more at Destructoid.
